Parade, Fair and Rodeo!

It's been a long time again...I'm not real great at updating this thing. Nothing really new going on over here same ole same ole. Which is a good thing! Tonight I'm taking Micah to the Parade in town, then we will visit the fair and we may stay and watch a little bit of the rodeo afterwards. I will have pictures from tonight that I will put on here tomorrow!

We are getting ready for Halloween! I am looking forward to it this year because I know Micah will really enjoy it. He loves junk food...just like his mama. I believe he is going to be Spiderman. Every boy has to be Spiderman at some point :) Actually I picked it because it was the only costume I found that was thinner so he wouldn't get so hot and also if he takes the mask off (which he will) then you can still tell that he is Spiderman. We have a birthday party to go to that night too.

This is one of Micah's favorite places to play! He was not so sure about Ronald the 1st time, but now he sits in his lap and kisses him :) It's so cute.

Swimming Time

Well, Micah is taking swimming lessons at his Nanny's house. At first he screamed when his feet would touch the water, but after the 3rd day he started to enjoy it and actually jumps in now if you are standing there to catch him. I guess that could be good and bad. Anyways, here's a few pictures of him....

Here are a few random pictures from last month. The first one was Micah's gift to me on Mother's Day!!!! He was playing in the living room and fell off his riding toy and hit his head on the corner of the grandfather clock. We thought we were going to need stitches, but instead he just got a real big goose egg on his head :( My poor angel is always bruised up now days!!!! The second one was him at my old job visiting. He loves dogs so he got super excited when he saw the fake dog on the ground. And of course the last picture is him in the tub. Notice where his hand is....That's his favorite area. I'm still going to download some pictures from his birthday hopefully and add them. Hope you are all doing well!!!!

It's been a while!!!

OMG I cant believe it's been 3 months since I've been on here!!! I'm SOOO behind. I thought being home now I would have more time to do things, but I was so wrong!!! I'm more busy now then I was before!!!!! Ok well since I've been on here last, Micah turned a year old!!! I have some pictures on here somewhere, but I have to find them. I will attach them when I find them. His party turned out great. It was a beautiful day and we were able to have it outside. He had about 60 friends and family members come over to celebrate with him!!! He LOVED the cake, of course :) He got all kinds of goodies. Ok well I'm sorry it's been so long....let me try to find his bday pictures and Ill post them for you guys. Be back soon!!!

Changing everyday...

It seems like the Merchant house just cant get well! Micah and I have both been sick for a week now. Wade, luckily, has not caught anything. Micah is feeling much better now, but me....not so great still. I missed 2 days of work this week, but I'm back today...on a Friday..yuck!

I took a few pictures last night of Micah playing. He was so funny. First, he was walking all over on his little walker...then he made it to my bedroom and decided to take out everything I had in this bag sitting by the floor. After he got each thing out of the bag and realized that I was standing there watching him he didn't know whether to cry or laugh so he did a little of both until he realized that he was not in trouble. I took him in the living room and him and Wade were playing around and then all the sudden Micah was passed out asleep. It was so funny. He is not quiet as tough as he thinks he is!!!!

New news.....My last day at work will be Feb 27. I will be staying home with Micah for awhile. I'm looking forward to the time with him. It will definitely be a change for me because I'm used to working, but I think this will be good for us.

Since I wont be at work everyday anymore after next week I might not be able to update this as much. We don't have the Internet at home yet, but I will do my best to update at least every other week!!!

Oh yes...I needed to tell yall...Micah has been taking steps! He does this all the time now. He took 5 the other night and then fell down, but he gets right back up and tries again. He usually takes about 2 at a time. It's so cute!!!!

ER trip :(

Well our little monster had his first trip to the ER on Monday night. We arrived around 10:30 and we were in a room by 11:30. He started feeling bad Sunday afternoon and running a high fever. I thought it was just because he was teething since he also had diarrhea, BUT I was wrong. Well Monday he was not feeling well at all and acting pitiful and then around 1:00 he started throwing up, so we knew it was more than just his teeth. His temp was up to 104.4 and that really scared us. We decided it was time to take him to the hospital because he would not drink anything and his temp would not come down. They said they were glad we brought him in because he was getting dehydrated. They hooked our poor baby up to a IV, which was awful, and then they wrapped this big old thing around his arm so he wouldnt pull the IV out. He did not like that at all. He slept a lot while we were there and his fever continued to stay up, but FINALLY after being there until 11 the next morning his temp started going down and he was getting a little more energy to sit up and stuff. All his test came back fine...he just had a very bad stomach virus and needed some fluids in his body so he would not dehydrate. He seems to be feeling a little more alive today. He smiled this morning and crawled around a little, but he is still kind of weak. He finally ate a jar of baby food last night and kept it down. He also has been drinking some gatorade, so hopefully that will help him too. Keep my little man in your prayers. I will keep yall posted.

Bath time is ALWAYS fun!!!!

Micah LOVES his baths :) This is him playing in the tub before American Idol last night! It's so much fun to just put him in there and watch him play now. He is all over the place!

Haha I finally put some curtains up. They arent the ones I was wanting, but they will work for now. It does help to make it look a little more cozy!

Zayda is 2!!

My niece, Zayda, turned 2 on January 16th. We had her a little party at my mother in laws Saturday afternoon. We call her Zayda bug, so it made since to have her party in lady bugs! Notice the really cute cupcakes...I did those!

Micah!

Here are a few pictures I took of Micah Saturday morning. He was being so funny and into everything. He tries to half crawl and half walk now. It looks so funny. He is getting TOOOO big! Makes me a little sad that he is growing up so fast, but I absolutely love the way he is right now! He is so much fun.

Nothing New!

Not a whole lot has gone on since the last time we talked, but I felt like updating this anyways! Wade is home, so that is good. Him and Micah have been spending a lot of time together :) Micah was really glad to see him and smiled super big when Wade walked in and he went straight to him. So cute! I don't have any new pictures yet...I'm slackin. I'll take some this weekend though. It's my nieces 2nd birthday Saturday!!!

This past week I've been sick...just sinuses I guess. I've been fighting it for 5 days now and it's not really getting any better. Let's hope it goes away soon cause it's very hard to breath!!! So, American Idol started this week! I'm a fan of the show :) We've watched it the past 2 nights...and laughed SOO hard of course. I really don't know if some of those people are serious or just on there to get attention? I couldn't keep a straight face if I knew I was horrible!!! O'well...good entertainment I guess. Tonight I think we are going to eat a steak..yum!! I've been wanting one all week, so I'm getting one tonight!

1st week of January 2009!

So far Micah is enjoying 2009! He has been playing with all his toys from Christmas and still trying to figure out the whole walking thing. It's back to work for me this week! I really enoyed my time off with Micah. I hate that Wade missed the holidays, but he'll be here Wednesday and we cant wait to see him!!!!!!!!!!Here are a few pictures I've taking this past week.

Christmas this year was so much fun! I really enjoyed watching Micah with all his toys and he LOVED playing with them. He especially loves his 2 new walkers that his Grandma's gave him. He took off on them like he knew excactly what he was supposed to do! So cute :) I made sure to video it all for Wade to watch when he gets here! Here are a few pictures I took from Christmas morning at Grandma's and then Christmas day at Nanny's!
